8. Biography and bibliography
Marcel Roelandts was born in 1957. He obtained a B.A. degree (« licence ») in geographical science at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 1984. He now works as researcher at the ULB and lecturer in several High Schools, where he delivers various teachings : economic geography, space economy, urban geography, as well as the teaching of geography.
His professional and political commitment has allowed him to develop original research lines. His main research works are presented on this website. The latter also supplies a more extensive bibliography, classified by topics : economic geography – geography, urbanism and town planning – geomarketing – historical materialism – Marxian economics – present crisis of capitalism.
